The Sunken Waterhall
Someone has scratched KEEP DRY above a ledge, and the ledge is dry, and empty. The mortar has washed out of the lower courses entirely, and the bricks stand by habit alone. It is a great open hall, and it takes 8 paces to cross one way and 6 paces the other. Square pillars stand in ranks, and your light makes a slow clock of their shadows as you move. The surface of the nearest bed has a skin on it, fine as a spider's web, unbroken from edge to edge.
