The Green Reservoir
The brickwork bows inward on one side, pushed by the weight of whatever is behind it. This is a great open hall, 7 by 5 paces. A heap of dirty sand stands by the wall with a sign on it: WASH. Bricks have fallen from the vault into a heap on the floor, and the gap they left is furred green round its edges. A knotted cord has been tied off between two rings, a handrail for anyone crossing the wet.
