The Chalk-marked Walk
Shin-bones have been set into the floor edge-on, a pavement worn as smooth as river stones. End to end it is 6 paces, and the walls are never more than an arm's width apart. A swing hangs from two ropes at the side of the passage, too small for anyone to sit on now. A track of drag marks runs through the dust and stops at the foot of a sealed niche. A faint ticking comes through the rock from somewhere close.
