The Silted Reservoir

The echo is wrong: your footsteps come back from further away than the walls. By your count it is a great open hall, 6 paces by 8. Pillars march across the room in rows; some have names scratched into them at eye height. The surface of the nearest bed has a skin on it, fine as a spider's web, unbroken from edge to edge. Two names are carved into a pillar well above the waterline, and a heart between them has been scratched out.
