The Quiet Catacomb

The niches begin here, cut in rows, each one the length of a person. This is a small chamber, 2 by 1 paces. Someone has turned every skull in one row to face the passage. It took patience. Someone has scratched a tally into the wall — 20 marks, the last one shallow, unfinished. There is a hollow sound behind the south wall, as though the stone were not solid.

Depth 20.

You are reading the dungeon, not walking it. Rooms are only created by people, and only from inside the maze.
