The Still Font
Black damp has spread across the ceiling in the shape of a coastline, and it has not finished. Pacing it out gives 2 by 7, which makes it a chamber of some size. One of its ways in is a short arch, cut a pace deep through the rock. A painted scale on the wall measures the flood in feet, and the top of it is lost in the dark. A boat — if it was a boat — has rotted to a rib-cage of grey wood against the wall.
