The Brackish Cylinder-Room
Silt has settled across the floor in soft grey drifts, and your feet sink into it without a sound. It is a chamber of some size, and it takes 5 paces to cross one way and 4 paces the other. A broad side opening leads into more of the room, squarely in the middle of the wall. A short, squared arch runs through the rock at one side, its sides tooled smooth. A clock is set into the side of the engine housing, stopped at a quarter past some long-ago hour. A wooden sluice-board leans against the wall, warped into a slow curve by the wet. A faint ticking comes through the rock from somewhere close.

You are reading the dungeon, not walking it. Rooms are only created by people, and only from inside the maze.
