The Counted Cot-Room

The stone here is soft and pale and has been carved with more niches than it can comfortably hold. Pacing it out gives 5 by 4, which makes it a chamber of some size. The room bends round on itself, and the far arm is out of sight until you reach the corner. A short, squared arch runs through the rock at one side, its sides tooled smooth. Names are scratched beneath the painted ones, in a child's hand, as if a brother or sister had come to add them. Someone has tried to count the skulls on one wall; the count stops at a smudged three hundred and something.

You are reading the dungeon, not walking it. Rooms are only created by people, and only from inside the maze.
